Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The Republican Umid tournament in fencing was held in the capital. As part of the last day of the tournament, competitions among foil fencers were held, in which 26 fencers took part (8 of them were girls).

Among men, ahead of all his rivals, Andijan's Akhmadillo Solikhojiev won. Madinabonu Parpieva from Tashkent became the gold medalist among the girls.
