AU staff take part in a seminar on the process of obtaining international accreditation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- AKFA University (AU) in cooperation with the Independent Agency for Accreditation and Rating (IAAR) organized a seminar for university staff on the process of obtaining international accreditation.
The IAAR is a leading international accreditation agency for quality assurance in education. The agency was founded in 2011.
IAAR is part of the European Quality Assurance Register (EQAR) and is a full member of the European Association for Quality Assurance in Higher Education (ENQA) and the World Federation for Medical Education (WFME).
The recognition of the World Federation of Medical Education gives the IAAR the right to carry out international accreditation of medical organizations and educational programs in the world educational space.
The agency carries out international institutional and specialized (program) accreditation, which is recognized at the national level (in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Moldova), also carries out international accreditation in Russia, Romania, Uzbekistan and assigns its quality mark in other countries.
The goal is to provide high-quality educational services based on international institutional and specialized (program) accreditation of educational organizations and to conduct rating research.
IAAR expert Botagoz Turdalieva held a seminar for employees of the first private university in Uzbekistan.
During the seminar, the university staff gained knowledge on the standards and criteria of international accreditation, as well as the process of international accreditation: filing an application, preparing the necessary reports, organizing an independent external expert commission, organizing a commission visit, etc.
“Obtaining international accreditation provides several advantages for both the university and the students. International accreditation confirms the high quality of education in accordance with international standards, increases the prestige and attractiveness of the university,” said Rector of AKFA University Bekhzod Djalilov.
At the same time, students have the opportunity to participate in various programs of academic mobility in foreign partner universities with the offset of existing credits and enroll to other foreign universities for graduate and doctoral programs. The competitiveness of the graduates both on the national and international labor market also increases, the head of the university added.
