Uzbekistan eases quarantine requirements from 15 August

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - A special republican commission decided to ease quarantine requirements from 15 August 2020.
In particular, from 15 August, unrestricted movement of vehicles, local air and rail traffic is allowed.
The activity of sanatoriums, boarding houses, hotels, museums, children's health camps, beauty salons, hairdressing salons, public catering facilities in the open air will also be resumed.
It is also recommended that disinfection devices be installed to prepare for resuming full activity.
From 15 August, it will be possible to hold family events at home, with the participation of no more than 30 people and in compliance with the established requirements.
The work of private kindergartens and schools, training centers, sanatoriums, boarding houses, children's camps, hotels, guest houses, beaches, hostels and other recreation areas, museums, beauty salons and hairdressing salons is resumed.
These institutions and establishments must comply with sanitary and epidemiological requirements - disinfect premises, employees must wear masks, maintain a social distance of two meters, etc.
Employees of hairdressing and beauty salons must wear overalls or medical gowns and follow the “one employee, one client” rule.
According to the decision of the commission, from 17 August it is planned to resume the movement of vehicles between the regions, the activity of public transport (with the exception of the metro), including suburban buses. Activities of religious institutions on weekdays are permitted.
From 20 August, clothing and building materials markets, large stores, gyms, fitness clubs and swimming pools can operate. These institutions must also comply with sanitary and epidemiological requirements.
At the same time, the Special Republican Commission decided to preserve some restrictions.
In particular, citizens must maintain a social distance of 2 meters and wear masks in public places.
Citizens with temperatures above 37° C or other signs of infection should stay at home.
A ban on holding meetings in government agencies and organizations is in force, if necessary the meetings can be organized through videoconferences.
The work of parks, theaters, cinemas, concert and banquet halls, as well as attractions in parks is not allowed. Mass events cannot be held.
Also, the work of catering establishments (cafes, restaurants and others) is not allowed, with the exception of summer and outdoor terraces, nightclubs, discos, spas and massage parlors, karaoke, billiard rooms, hookah lounges, computer rooms.
People over 65 are advised to self-isolate, the commission said.
In addition, the previously established requirements for equipping non-route taxis with special protective equipment remain.
