More than 3,500 self-employed in the ICT field registered in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – About 3,546 self-employed are engaged in ICT services (activities in social networks, development of software, mobile applications and websites, creation and processing of text), the press service of the State Tax Committee reported.
For those who want to independently manage their working time, personally keep track of income / expenses and at the same time accumulate work experience - from 1 July 2020, a simplified procedure for registering self-employment has been introduced in Uzbekistan - the legalization of labor of those who, until recently, working for themselves, did not know how to register officially.
Self-employed persons can engage in any of the 67 activities. You just need to go through notification registration - in the Soliq application or on the Portal of electronic government services of tax authorities. And also until the end of this year to remotely pay social tax (the minimum amount for 2020 is 111,500 soums). This amount is sent to the off-budget Pension Fund for calculating pensions and seniority.
As of 6 August, the number of self-employed persons in Uzbekistan increased to 219,931.

The dynamics reflect that out of 67 types of activities available for self-employed persons, the sphere of personal services is in demand (hairdressing, manicure, cosmetology, pedicure, washing and ironing at home, making keys, sewing shoes, repairing and painting, etc.) - 60 684 are self-employed.
