Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The epidemiological situation caused by the coronavirus pandemic in the world and in Uzbekistan leads to a growing demand for test systems and equipment for their detection.
In this regard, the Ministry of Innovative Development donated equipment for detecting COVID-19 "Mini 8 Plus Real-Time PSR System" and 1400 test systems to the Center for Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-being of the Republic of Karakalpakstan as gratuitous assistance.
"Mini 8 Plus Real-Time PSR System" is made in Germany, functionally does not differ from standard devices. This mobile molecular PCR (polymerase chain reaction) device has a simple user-friendly interface. It is capable of testing 8 samples simultaneously and is compatible with most commercial reagents. In addition, the system has the ability to automatically send data to the selected email address.
Since the equipment does not require adjustment, it is light and small in size and can be easily moved around the laboratory. This device is designed for autonomous operation in remote areas and can be operated from a wall outlet or from batteries.
In addition to detecting coronavirus and other infectious diseases, the device allows genotyping, that is, the detection of hereditary diseases, as well as the analysis of the degree of gene variability in the cell and the determination of food safety.
