Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Embassy of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Seoul held a meeting with the director of Keunsan Food Ko Min Song to discuss prospects for cooperation in the supply of Uzbek dried fruits to the market of the Republic of Korea.
Ko Min Song expressed interest in establishing cooperation with producers of dried fruits of Uzbekistan (in particular, dried prunes) for further export of these products to the South Korean market, Dunyo news agency reports.
The traditional partners of Keunsan Food are companies from China and Vietnam. Ko Min Song noted that “having personally tasted dried prunes from Uzbekistan, I was convinced of its high quality and taste”. In this regard, he intends to reorient his attention also to Uzbekistan, where organic products are produced, and to establish long-term cooperation with Uzbek companies.
Detailed information is provided on the existing agreement and the work carried out by the quarantine services of the two countries to provide access to the market of the Republic of Korea for Uzbek agricultural products, as well as on the main regions of the republic where large domestic producers of dried agricultural products are located.
Ko Min Song expressed his readiness to supply the first batch of Uzbek dried fruits for appropriate laboratory analysis with a further increase in the volume of imports of these products to the South Korean market.
