UzEX sums up the results of activities for the first half of 2020
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The total volume of transactions concluded in the first half of 2020 on all trading platforms of the Uzbek Republican Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange (UzEX) made up 25.4 trillion soums, which is 22% higher than the same indicator for the 1st half of 2019.
The volume of transactions concluded on the exchange with the participation of small businesses and private entrepreneurship made up 9.66 trillion soums. Entrepreneurs purchased commodity resources for 6.55 trillion soums through the exchange and sold their own products for 3.11 trillion soums.
At the exchange trades, goods were sold for a total amount of 22.36 trillion soums with an increase of 20.8%. Selling enterprises received additional income due to the formation of real market prices at the auction in the amount of 1.28 trillion soums, or 18.8% more than in January-June 2019.
Only US$47.6 million worth of products were exported through the exchange. At the same time, the structure of exchange exports was occupied by such commodity items as polyethylene - 39%, vegetable oil - 20%, cotton fiber - 12%, petroleum products - 12%, polypropylene - 10%, liquefied gas - 4%, animal feed - 3% and other goods.
During the period under review, the total volume of transactions in electronic public procurement reached 1.58 trillion soums, which is almost at the level of last year. At the same time, the savings of budgetary and corporate customers increased by 12.2% and amounted to 346.0 billion soums.
The volume of exhibition and fair trades increased 2.1 times and made up 1.36 trillion soums, which, in turn, indicates a sharp increase in the interest of entrepreneurs in the exchange's e-commerce.
In addition, more than 24.8 thousand license plates were sold through the exchange's online auction for a total of 98.6 billion soums, which is 36.3% more than in the first half of last year.
