One of the hospitals in Tashkent received mechanical ventilation devices of local production
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 30 June, a solemn event was held in Tashkent to donate the first batch of mechanical ventilation devices assembled at the production site of the Joint Slovak-Russian-Uzbek enterprise Chirana Asia to the Ibn Sino Tashkent City Hospital.
The guests of honor of the event were representatives of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry under the Ministry of Health of Uzbekistan.
Chirana Asia LLC JV was established in Uzbekistan jointly with the Slovak company Chirana and partners from the Russian Federation with the goal of producing high-tech medical equipment that has no analogues in the country under the label “Made in Uzbekistan”. Such production will be carried out for the first time in Central Asia, which will accelerate import substitution in the medical industry.

Specialists confirmed the compliance of medical equipment with the requirements of modern international standards, said Aziz Dusmatov, head of the Department for the Development of Science and Education of the Agency for the Development of the Pharmaceutical Industry.
Representatives of the enterprise said that a powerful service center with spare parts for repair will be created, it is planned to conduct seminars on the use of mechanical ventilation and NDA with the invitation of highly qualified foreign experts in the field of anesthesiology.

Due to the current situation in the country due to coronavirus and taking into account the urgent need for consumables for ventilators and personal protective equipment for patients, Chirana Asia JV LLC donates breathing circuits without accessories (1000 pcs), breathing circuits without accessories with a water collector (500 pcs.) and single-use bacterial-viral filters without TVO (1000 pcs.)
According to representatives of the Chirana Asia JV LLC, the company’s products are also planned to be sold in Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan and Afghanistan.
At the first stage of production localization, foreign partners made investments in the amount of 3 million US dollars and created 30 jobs. At the second stage, it is planned to invest up to 5-6 million dollars and create up to 100 jobs.
