The first foreign university will be opened in Khorezm region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Today, an online ceremony was held to sign the tripartite agreement on the opening of the Binary International University in Urgench, Dunyo reports.
The event, organized with the assistance of the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Malaysia, was attended by Deputy Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education Uzokboy Begimkulov, Khokim of Khorezm Region Farhod Ermanov and founder and rector of Binary University Joseph Adaykalam.
Established in 1984, Binary Private University is one of the specialized universities in Malaysia for training in the fields of management, information technology and entrepreneurship education, with special emphasis on professional practice.
University training programs are recognized by the Association of Universities of Great Britain, the International Association of Universities of France and the Malaysian Qualifications Authority.
This university will be the first full-fledged foreign university in Khorezm region. Its opening is scheduled for the 2020-2021 academic year.
The training will take place under the bachelor’s and master’s programs in the specialties of management, accounting and ICT. In 2020, 240 students are scheduled to attend.
The Malaysian side emphasized that Uzbekistan is becoming an “educational hub.” In this regard, the expansion of the university in the republic will open up wide opportunities in the field of education.
