Over 500 scientific events to be organized in Uzbekistan in 2020

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In order to further enhance the prestige of science in the country, further improve the activities of the scientific community, increase youth interest in science, exchange knowledge between scientists, and improve their skills in Uzbekistan, it is planned to conduct international and national scientific events.
In 2019, 428 scientific events were held in the country, including 137 international and 291 republican. In 2020, 530 scientific events are planned in 8 areas, including 186 international and 344 republican.
In accordance with the approved plan, conferences of republican scale will be organized in each region of the republic. Their goal is the development of the scientific and innovative potential of the regions, as well as the integration of science, education and production.
Representatives of regional enterprises and organizations will participate in scientific events, who will present their presentations on issues whose solution requires a scientific and innovative approach.
It is also expected that an announcement will be made in the prescribed manner in the framework of state programs on scientific activity on three topics aimed at developing the scientific and innovative potential of the region based on recommendations and decisions on the final results of the events.
It is planned to invite more than a thousand prominent foreign scientists and specialists to international scientific events, including compatriots living abroad. It is expected that they will deliver lectures and practical recommendations as part of the events.
The Ministry of Innovation Development will be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of scientific activities and preparing an analytical report.
