Uzbekistan is represented at the international tourism exhibition in the USA
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - The Consulate General of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the city of New York took part in the International Tourism Exhibition “The New York Times Travel Show-2020”. The exhibition was held at the Jacob K. Javits Center, New York.
Within the framework of the event, in cooperation with the Silk Road Treasure Tours travel company, brochures “10 Reasons to visit to Uzbekistan”, reference books “On the procedure for crossing the state border and the rules of staying in the Republic of Uzbekistan”, stickers with images were distributed historical cities of the republic, as well as presentation videos dedicated to Uzbekistan, including its rich history and original culture, architectural monuments, large-scale reforms in the development of the tourism industry of our republic.
In addition, in order to increase the recognition of the republic among representatives of large foreign travel agencies, companies and associations, the Consulate General has initiated a special thematic campaign “Visit to Uzbekistan”.
In particular, with the involvement of bloggers-reporters with operators (from among compatriots working in the US media sphere), a survey was organized among the organizers, participants and guests of the international tourism exhibition, regarding their awareness of Uzbekistan, its geographical location, historical cities, and great scientists thinkers who have made a significant contribution to the development of world civilization, etc.
Interviewees are provided with additional information about Uzbekistan, including about the ongoing reforms to create favorable conditions for the stay of foreign tourists, souvenirs, brochures, reference books, as well as handouts specially prepared in the form of a business card for issuing an electronic entry visa to the Republic of Uzbekistan were presented.
The business card contains the following information: link to the website of the electronic visa in the Republic of Uzbekistan with a QR code, links to popular pages of the State Committee for Tourism of the Republic of Uzbekistan on social networks, the frequency of direct flights to Tashkent, destinations of tourism (gastronomic, Zierat, educational, business, environmental, extreme , cultural, ethnic, agro, etc.).
It is worth noting that many visitors, American and foreign tour operators, expressed serious interest in studying the tourism potential and market of Uzbekistan, considering it as a new destination for their customers. Some travel companies have expressed their willingness to consider establishing new ties with the Uzbek side.
It should be noted that the presentation of Uzbekistan at this event promotes the national tourism brand of the country in the United States, the dissemination of information about the rich historical and cultural heritage of the Uzbek people among the western public
The New York Times Travel Show, the international tourism exhibition, is the largest US tourism event at which more than 700 travel companies, agencies and airlines from 176 countries represent their services. The tourist exhibition is annually visited by more than 35 thousand people, including representatives of tourism organizations interested in establishing cooperation with foreign partners.
