Volume of shares’ emission in Uzbekistan grows significantly

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - In 2019, the Agency for the Development of the Capital Market registered 125 share issues with a total issue of 40.6 trillion soums (3.5 trillion shares). In 2018, the total issue made up 13.4 trillion soums.
In particular, last year a number of large share issues were registered for placement by private subscription - Issiqlik elektr stansiyalari JSC (4 trillion), Hududiy elektr tarmoqlari JSC (8.3 trillion), Dehqonbod kaliy zavodi JSC (by 691.5 billion), JSC Uzbekistan Airways (by 4.3 trillion), JSC Uzbekistan Airports by 5.8 trillion), JSCB Uzpromstroybank (by 2.5 trillion), JSCB Agrobank ( 2.2 trillion), Joint-Stock Commercial Bank Ipotekabank (1.4 trillion) and others.
Also, over the past year, shares were registered for public offering by Hamkorbank (2.5 billion), Turkiston (25.0 billion), Trastbank (65.0 billion) and JSC "Markazy Dekhkon Bozori" (by 5.89 billion).
In total, as of 1 January 2020, the Unified State Register of Issuing Securities Issues made entries on the registration of 16,250 share issues with a total issue volume of 140.3 trillion soums (10.4 trillion units).
In addition, as of 1 January 2020, a total of 164 issues of corporate bonds of 103 issuers were registered for a total of 848.9 billion soums. Of these, 116 issues were redeemed and 27 were canceled. To date, only 13 bond issues totaling 488 billion soums are in circulation.
In particular, for 2019, registered corporate bond issues of Invest Finance Bank in the amount of 100.0 billion soums, Asia Alliance Bank for 50.0 billion soums and Uzpromstroybank for 150.0 billion soums.
