A quarantine object was identified in a batch of grapes from Uzbekistan, imported into Novosibirsk region

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – This week, 20.25 tons of fruit came from the Republic of Uzbekistan by road, accompanied by a phytosanitary certificate. However, during quarantine phytosanitary control at one of the Novosibirsk temporary storage warehouses (TSW), inspectors of the Rosselkhoznadzor Directorate for Novosibirsk Region identified a dangerous quarantine object in the consignment of fresh Uzbek grapes - a field harvest.
The presence of a quarantine harmful weed was also confirmed by laboratory research.
In order to prevent the introduction and possible spread of the quarantine facility, infected products of high phytosanitary risk are prohibited for sale on the territory of the Russian Federation, and, in accordance with the legislation, by decision of the owner of the cargo, it was returned to the place of disposal.
