Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - During the official visit of the Chairman of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis Tanzila Narbaeva to the Republic of Kazakhstan, another initiative was put forward - the creation of a Commission on cooperation of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This idea was also positively received by the Kazakh side.
The main task of the new structure is to systematize relations between the two states, as well as to assist in the implementation of agreements reached at various levels and to ensure parliamentary control over this process.
In addition, the Cooperation Commission will ensure the adoption by the national parliaments of Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan of laws that are in the interests of the two states. Facilitating enhanced dialogue between countries is also a task of the Commission. In addition, work will be carried out to ensure the effectiveness of relevant measures taken in this direction.
Today, the role of parliamentarians in the life of our countries is becoming increasingly stronger. In particular, they, in addition to the main functions assigned to them, conduct activities in the international arena.
Our senators contribute to the development of parliamentary diplomacy, promote rapprochement of positions on important issues and the implementation of the agreements reached. From this point of view, the new structure will allow it to solve important issues posed at a new stage of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, which is filled with a new practical meaning.
