MTS-Uzbekistan, subsidiary of Russia’s Mobile TeleSystems (MTS), launched Mobile TV service in test mode, the company said on Friday, 20 March.
The company said it launched new service under the license of the Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information (UzACI) and in cooperation with National Television and Radio Company of Uzbekistan.
Subscribers need to have mobile handset with 3G support and Video Streeming and connect to 3G Internet Service of MTS-Uzbekistan. The service will allow subscribers to watch TV programmes with their handsets.
The company became one of the first operators in the CIS, which launched Mobile TV service. In future, the company is planning to expand number of channels, available to watch.”
