Uzbekistan takes part in the Malaysia Tourism Fair
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) –– On 6–9 September 2019, the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuala Lumpur took part in the largest outbound tourism fair in Malaysia “MATTA FAIR 2019”, which is the most popular exhibition and sale in the region, operating exclusively in B2C format (Business to Customer).
During the contacts, special attention was paid to establishing cooperation with leading tourism companies in Malaysia, specializing in the development of pilgrimage tourism, in particular in the field of organizing tourist trips to holy places and monuments in Uzbekistan. Malaysian companies have expressed their interest in establishing long-term cooperation with tourism companies and agencies of Uzbekistan on the development of tourism destinations such as pilgrimage tourism, ecotourism, business tourism, agritourism, culinary and sports.
The tourist products of Uzbekistan, which are gaining wide popularity among citizens of not only Malaysia, but also the entire region of Southeast Asia, aroused keen interest among the participants of the fair.
The guests of the fair were also shown videos about the tourism potential and cultural and historical heritage of Uzbekistan.
During the event, a cultural program was presented with the participation of a dance group from Uzbekistan, which presented a rich musical and dance art of various regions of our country.
Following the results of the international exhibition, agreements were reached with the Malaysian tour operators Travelyoyo Sdn. Bhd ”,“ Best Holiday Tour ”and“ Triways Travel Network ”on the direction of about 400-500 Malaysian tourists to Uzbekistan in the IV quarter of 2019.
