Issues of the construction of a multidisciplinary hospital in Navoi discussed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 19 August 2019, the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to the United States, Javlon Vakhabov, met with the head of US Inc. Mark Winters to discuss the progress of the American company’s project to build a Clinical Diagnostic Laboratory Test Center and Center ambulance in Navoi.
The project was presented in March 2019 as part of a trip by the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev to Navoi region. Over the past period, an American investor has created a foreign company in the region in the form of LLC US SCIENTIFIC NAVOI. Also, by the decision of the regional governor from 30 March, 0.75 hectares of land was allocated in the center of Navoi for the implementation of the project.
On 17 May, within the framework of the Uzbek-American-Canadian business forum, a memorandum was signed between the khokimiyat of Navoi region and US Inc., which envisages the implementation of a project worth about US$24 million entirely due to foreign direct investment of a foreign company. The launch of the project will provide 200 new jobs and will serve the introduction of modern methods and technologies in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the region.
During a meeting in Washington, the parties discussed the prospects for the early launch of the clinic’s design capacity. Mark Winters noted his strong commitment to the timely implementation of this project. He emphasized that for these purposes, assistance is needed from the local authorities in providing the allocated land with the necessary infrastructure, including gas, electricity, water, sewage to create the most modern laboratory and medical facilities.
Following the talks, an agreement was reached on the visit of Mark Winters to Uzbekistan and his meeting with the leadership of the Navoi khokimiyat. During a visit to Navoi, Mark Winters intends to present the master plan of his project, as well as present a vision and outline the company's needs for further specific steps.
According to the Embassy, the leadership of Navoi region assured of full support to the specified project and expressed its readiness to thoroughly discuss with the American side all the details of the planned construction work, in particular, providing all the necessary infrastructure solutions for the purposes of the investment project.
As noted by the businessman from the USA, with the timely resolution of all the tasks set by US Inc. by the local authorities, the Clinic and the Ambulance Center will be put into operation.
