Public Education Ministry offers PPP projects in public education

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Ministry of Public Education of Uzbekistan has announced competitions among investors for the implementation of public-private partnership projects in the field of public education.
The Ministry on its official website published 27 announcements on the implementation of PPP projects in the field of public education. It is planned that the projects will be implemented in 8 regions of Uzbekistan and in Tashkent.
Five projects are aimed at creating sports complexes on the basis of vacant land plots and 22 projects at creating non-governmental educational institutions.
According to the terms of the tender, PPP facilities will be transferred to the winner of the tender - a private partner for long-term gratuitous use for the period specified in the announcements.
Within the framework of the projects, private partners must commit themselves to educate a certain number of children in need of social support, construction or reconstruction of buildings, and updating the material and technical base of schools. At the same time, the private partner is obliged to use the PPP facility strictly for its intended purpose during the entire term of the agreement.
Entrepreneurs and investors interested in participating in the competition can send expressions of interest by 12 September 2019.
