A large flash mob with the participation of taekwondists takes place at the Square of Friendship of Peoples
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Taekwondo World Championship among cadets, which takes place in Tashkent, leaves a big mark in the development of this sport in our country. The visit of the head of the World Taekwondo Federation to Tashkent once again proves the prestige of this championship.
Within the framework of the World Championship, a mass event was planned to be held on the Friendship of Peoples Square - a large flash mob, with the goal of promoting a healthy lifestyle among the population, as well as for the development of taekwondo. This great event was attended not only by experienced masters of sports of Uzbekistan, but also taekwondo players from South Korea.
The flash mob was attended by 2019 people. Also, the event was attended by the head of the World Taekwondo Federation Chung Won Choi, he was accompanied by the President of the National Olympic Committee Rustam Shaabdurakhmanov and the Minister of Physical Culture and Sports Dilmurod Nabiev.
At the beginning of the flash mob, a video prepared for the “Olympic Day”, which took place last month in our country, was presented.
Of course, such a large-scale event did not leave indifferent Chung Won Choi: “This is my first time participating in such a large event, which is being held in Tashkent. I was very struck with the love and interest of the young generation in taekwondo. I sincerely believe that the national team of Uzbekistan will rise to the podium more than once during the championship. It should be noted that the Taekwondo Association of Uzbekistan, in spite of the shortest time for preparation, managed to organize this world championship well. I take this opportunity to express my gratitude to the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the National Olympic Committee, the Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports for the assistance and assistance rendered.
