Turkish experience to be applied for the development of technology parks in Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A meeting was held between the head of the department of the Ministry of Innovative Development of the Republic of Uzbekistan Olimjon Tuychiev and the general director of Entertech Istanbul University Technopark Yasin Erol in Turkey.
During the meeting, an exchange of views took place on the functioning mechanisms of Turkey’s technology parks, their management systems, the effective organization and development of technology parks and their productivity.
At the meeting, it was agreed to hold workshops by specialists of the Technopark of Istanbul EnterTech University in September 2019 in Tashkent for specialists from Uzbekistan, as well as the signing of a memorandum of understanding between the Innovative Technopark Yashnabad and the Technopark of Istanbul EnterTech University. As part of the cooperation, specialists from Uzbekistan will be sent to the Entertech technology park for advanced training. It is planned to establish cooperation in the field of technology transfer.
Istanbul University’s Technology Park EnterTech began operations in 2011 at Avciilar University of Istanbul campus. The purpose of this technology park is to create a favorable infrastructure for innovative and IT companies.
In addition, the technology park has established cooperation with universities, research institutes and the manufacturing sector to obtain technological knowledge, produce high-quality and affordable standardized products, increase production efficiency, reduce production costs and adapt small and medium-sized businesses to the new environment.
