About 1381 gas stations to be sold to business entities through auction sales

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A presidential resolution was adopted on measures to ensure stable provision of the economy and the population with energy resources, financial rehabilitation and improvement of the oil and gas industry management system.
The resolution established the Republican Working Commission on the implementation of the Concept of development of the oil and gas industry of the Republic of Uzbekistan until 2030.
The Commission should take measures to increase the production of hydrocarbons and modernize the gas transmission system.
The Ministry of Energy is creating a project office to coordinate the reform of the oil and gas industry.
In accordance with the decree, the management system of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" has been improved, an effective organizational structure has been formed.
According to this, Uztransgaz JSC was withdrawn from Uzbekneftegaz JSC.
The share of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" in the authorized capital of JSC "Uztransgaz" was transferred to the State Assets Management Agency and on the basis of the territorial branches of gas supply JSC "Uztransgaz" was created by JSC "Hudugaztaminot".
About 1,381 units of petrol stations of Uznefteprodukt servicing farms will be sold to business entities through auction bidding.
The shares of JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" in the authorized capital of 13 markets, trading and livestock farms within its composition will be transferred to local executive authorities.
In accordance with the decree, Uzbekneftegaz JSC should increase the volume of hydrocarbon production, including natural gas, to 42.3 billion cubic meters and liquefied gas to 1.5 million tons in 2024.
JSC "Uzbekneftegaz" and JSC "Uztransgaz" should provide:
- starting with the results of 2019 compulsory financial reporting in accordance with international standards and conducting an independent external audit with the involvement of international auditing companies;
-starting with the results of 2020 to ensure the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
Exempted from 1 July 2020 from payment:
- customs payments (with the exception of customs duties) of return imported equipment (gas generators, engines, power turbines, etc.), exported outside the republic under the customs regime "processing outside the customs territory";
- value added tax, exploration work carried out by JSC Uzbekneftegaz and enterprises that are part of its organizational structure.
An Energy Efficiency Improvement Program will be developed in the Republic of Uzbekistan for 2020–2022.
