Delta City complex to be built in another part of Tashkent

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - Delta City multifunctional complex will be built in another part of Tashkent. This follows from the presidential resolution “On measures to improve the system of organizing and holding congress and exhibition events at the interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental levels”.
Earlier, it was planned that the construction of the innovation center is planned on the territory bordering the Iftikhor, Amir Temur, Small Ring and Sandikurgon streets and also covering the land plots of the National Exhibition Complex Uzexpocenter, the International Business Center and the foreign trade association Interservice.
The cost of the project, implemented jointly with the South Korean POSCO Daewoo, is estimated at US$1.4 billion.
Tashkent khokimiyat was entrusted with organizing work on the relocation of families, enterprises, institutions and organizations, as well as the demolition of residential buildings, non-residential buildings and structures in the project area, taking measures to reimburse individuals and legal entities for damages at the expense of investors.
The President of Uzbekistan instructed the National Project Management Agency and Tashkent khokim to hold talks with the South Korean company Posco E & C on the construction of Delta City in another part of the capital. Following the talks, they must submit proposals to the Presidential Administration.
According to the resolution, InterForum and InterHotel will be created. The companies will manage and further develop Uzexpocenter, the International Business Center and the International Hotel.
