Uzbekistan and QS sign an agreement to support universities to enter international rankings

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Minister of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan Inom Madjidov and ZS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Regional Director Zoya Zaitseva signed a strategic agreement to support universities within the framework of Ilm-fan - 2020 (Science 2020) in the WUR version of QS.
As part of this agreement, the QS Intelligence Unit will assist in clarifying the methodology, also using open and internal QS data, the team will review the results of universities at the global, regional and subject levels.
This analysis will help highlight areas of strategic achievement and potential success, as well as justify the strengths and weaknesses of universities in Uzbekistan on key indicators.
The results will be presented in accordance with the strategic focus of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Specialized Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The QS World University Rankings is a global study and accompanying ranking of the best universities of world importance in terms of their achievements in the field of education and science. The rating is calculated according to the methodology of the British consulting company Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) and is considered one of the most influential global university rankings.
The entry of universities into international rankings provides for the transformation of higher education institutions from educational to institutions with developed research potential.
The scientific potential of universities is measured by leading rating agencies using the Scopus scientometric database.
