Uzbekistan National Film Commission to join the Asian Film Commissions Association
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of the National Film Commission of Uzbekistan with the support of the Youth Union of Uzbekistan is participating in the largest event in the cinema and entertainment industry in Asia - the 23rd International Film and Television Market FILMART (Hong Kong International Film & TV Market ) in Hong Kong.
As part of the film market, a meeting of the delegation of Uzbekistan with representatives of the Asian Film Commissions was held. During the meeting, issues were discussed about the accession of the National Film Commission of Uzbekistan to this association. As a result of the negotiations, the parties agreed on the participation of the National Film Commission in the 24th annual Busan International Film Festival, where the process of joining and presenting the National Film Commission of Uzbekistan and the International Film Festival PROlogue before the general assembly of the association will be carried out.
From the moment of joining, every month information about the film shows of Uzbekistan will be distributed worldwide in large editions, and the National Film Commission will be systematically promoted at international film festivals and film markets as a full member of the Asian Association.
The association includes such major countries as Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, South Korea, Japan, China, Jordan, Russia, New Zealand and others.
The country’s accession to such large international organizations carries with it a promising trend, such as promoting the country at international film festivals and film markets, supporting young and talented filmmakers, and also provides tremendous potential for the development of cinema tourism in Uzbekistan.
