Uzbekistan wins 31 medals of Paralympic Games

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan national team wrapped up its participation in Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro (Brazil). The Uzbek athletes won 31 medals of Paralympics.

Nozimahon Kayumova won the eighth gold medal of Uzbekistan in Women’s Javelin Throw with the result of 44.58 meters.

Uzbekistan won 31 medals of Rio Games, including 8 gold, 6 silver and 17 bronze medals. Uzbekistan clinched the 15th place in general medal classification.

It is worth to mention that 32 athletes from Uzbekistan competed for medals of Paralympics in five sports – athletics, swimming, judo, shooting and powerlifting.
