Finance 24/07/2008 Uzbekistan’s Alp Jamol Bank deploys BPC card processing technology

The in-house processing centre will allow Alp Jamol Bank to expand and improve its range of services available with the use of payment cards and introduce to its customers new VIP-products offered by the International Payment Schemes.

Currently the expansion of the retail services range and development of retail branches are the priority business directions of Alp Jamol Bank. The cards issued by the bank are actively used by both its private customers and other legal entities. Among the most successful services provided by the bank are revolving credit cards, debit cards with overdraft in national and foreign currencies and other credit products based on cards. The bank also offers a wide range of products and services specially developed for VIP-customers, which requires the use of cutting-edge technologies to support the highest quality standards. These factors determined the bank’s decision to launch its own processing center based on the SmartVista solution.

The in-house fully functional processing solution will ensure all the necessary facilities for Visa and MasterCard issuing and acquiring, including EMV-cards, and will permit the bank to raise its card business performance and move away from the third party processors’ services. The bank will also obtain more flexible mechanisms for card product management and efficient support of such in demand modern services as Internet and mobile banking, various banking and payment services, different credit products based on payment cards, new Visa and MasterCard VIP products, multicurrency operations and other options, providing the bank’s customers with a convenient access to their accounts and an efficient tool for their fund management.
