Five months ago, there were 5,000 and 11 months ago – 4,000 domains. So growth of domains for 12 months made 2,000.

In 2007 a growth of active domains made 2,155 or about 60%. Total number of domains registered last year was 3,224, while 1,069 were removed.

There are seven official domain .uz registrars in Uzbekistan. They are Tomas, Amaliy Alokalar Biznesi, Sarkor Telecom, Billur Com, TV-Inform, Arsenal-D located in Tashkent and company Simus in Ferghana. Registration fee is about US$18 -US$25.

The Center for development and introduction of computer and information technologies UZINFOCOM appears as the second layer administrator of .uz zone.
