London-2012: Ulyana Trofimova starts participation at Olympics

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekistan athlete Ulyana Trofimova started her participation at the Olympic Games in London in rhythmic gymnastics.

Before the competition, Trofimova was one of favourites to win medals of Olympics, but before the Games she broke her right leg in training. Despite injury, she decided to participate in the competitions.

In the result, Ulyana Trofimova in cooperation with her coach decided to change her programme and removed all elements, which would harm her leg.

These negatively impacted results of Ulyana Trofimova. She earned 24.56 points at performance with hoop and 26.625 points at performance with ball. Now she is on the 20th place.

It is expected that Ulyana Trofimova will participate in competitions, which will be held tomorrow.
