People’s Daily reported that these events took place in Xi’an, the capital of the Shaanxi province (northern-western China).

Representatives of large, medium and small businesses from China, Canada, Austria, Japan, France and other countries, officials from Chinese government and others participated at INVEST. Uzbekistan presented its investment-economic and tourism potential of the country at the event.

The report said that the presentation of Uzbekistan on investments to new industries attracted attention of the conference’s participants. Participants received detailed information on advantages, which are offered by economy of Uzbekistan to foreign investors.

The Uzbek delegation presented information about the Uzbek-Chinese investment cooperation in non-raw and high-technology sectors, investment clients, guarantees for foreign investors, Industrial High Technologic Park in Jizzakh region, constructed in cooperation with Chinese companies.

Chinese businesses expressed their readiness to boost trade-economic cooperation with their Uzbek counterparts.

During the roundtable with tourism companies of Shaanxi province, the Uzbek delegation discussed interaction on tourists exchange. The Chinese tour companies received information on rich cultural and spiritual heritage, ancient cities of Uzbekistan, etc.
