Sanibal Orahovac was born 12 December 1978 in Titograd, Montenegro. He started his career at Mladost Podgorica and two years later moved to Budućnost Podgorica.
From 2011 to 2004, he played for Red Star Belgrade and he won title of Serbia and Serbian Cup.
After that he played in Portugal with such clubs as Vitória de Guimarães and FC Penafiel. In 2006, he joined Karlsruher SC and played three seasons in German league. From 2008 to 2011, he played in various German clubs.
In 2011, Sanibal Orahovac returned to Montenegro and became leader of Budućnost Podgorica, which finished top after the first half of season.
Budućnost Podgorica is led by former Pakhtakor coach Miodrag Radulovic, who has good relations with the Uzbek club. The transfer is the result of these relations.
