Uzbekistan produces 45,400 cars in 1Q 2011
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- GM Uzbekistan, an Uzbek-US carmaker, increased production of cars by 6.8% to 45,400 units in the first quarter of 2011, the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan said.
The committee said that production of specialized cars decreased by 52% to 118 units in the reporting period.
The country produced 194 lorries in the reporting period, which is 21.3% more compared to the same period of 2010, the committee added.
According to official statistics, production of buses in Uzbekistan fell by 11.2% to 231 units in the first quarter of 2011.
